Editorial policy
How we verify race information, how we write comparisons, and what we disclose.
Who operates this platform
The Fitness Racer is an independent editorial platform covering fitness racing, hybrid sports and functional fitness events. The platform is operated by Deldico B.V. The operator is also commercially involved with TYRUN. Where relevant, this relationship is disclosed in editorial content.
Race information
Every race in the directory carries a last verified date. That is the date somebody checked the details against the organiser’s own published information. Nothing in a race listing is inferred, estimated or filled in to make the page look complete.
- No date is listed until the organiser announces one.
- Finishing times are only listed where results have been published.
- Where a standard varies by category, we link to the organiser rather than reproduce a table that will go stale.
What we will not publish
- Participation figures, growth statistics or "biggest / fastest growing" claims.
- Rankings of races against each other.
- Testimonials or athlete quotes that were not given to us.
- Invented records, times or qualifying standards.
- Fabricated expert credentials for our own writers.
Comparisons
A comparison sets two formats side by side on structure — distances, stations, categories, what each rewards — and stops there. We will say which format suits a runner and which suits a lifter, because that follows from the structure. We will not say which is better, because that does not.
How articles are produced
Articles are drafted by the editorial team, sometimes with AI assistance, and reviewed by a human editor before publication. The byline is a real person or our named editorial desk. We do not invent journalists.
Commercial arrangements
Sponsored articles, paid partnerships and affiliate links are labelled as such, in a visible notice at the top of the page. So is any article covering a race our operator is commercially involved with.
- Every race is listed in the directory on the same terms.
- A directory listing is free and cannot be bought.
- Being an advertiser does not move a race up a page, and paying us does not change what a comparison says.
- No race is left out because it competes with another one we cover.
