Our take
Structurally, the thing that stands out is the run distance. At 600 m per lap and 2.4 km in total, the running is a connective tissue between stations rather than the main event — which is a meaningfully different proposition from formats built around 8 km of running. If you are strong and your running is a weakness, that ratio works in your favour. If running is your strength, it gives you less room to express it.
The three divisions share one course and one set of stations, with only loads and calorie targets changing. That makes it unusually easy to enter at a level you can actually finish and then move up, and it means a beginner and an advanced athlete are watching the same race rather than two different ones.
